Scrapbook Page Ideas: Black and White with Polka Dots and Stripes

I really love all of the wonderful people who have been reading my blog and leaving such uplifting comments. Every week I see my homemade cards and scrapbook pages getting better and better and it is because all of the wonderful support from those reading my blog.

For my first scrapbook page this week (sorry it’s late) I combined several challenges that were available on other sites. Even mixing the different challenges turned into a beautiful baby girl scrapbook page of Braelynn. Here is the finished product.

I know there is a lot going on here, but I am entering this page into six different challenges. Here’s what the rules of requirement were for each challenge I entered.

365 Cards Blog – You had to use three different “R” items on your page or card. I used ribbon, rick rack and rhinestones; which are kind of hard to see in the photo, but are located in the left corner of the page next to the rick rack.

All Sorts Challenge Blog – For this challenge you were required to use the colors black and white in combination with one other color. The other color I chose was lime green.

Crazy 4 Challenges Blog – This was any anything goes challenge.

Secret Crafter Blog – In this challenge you had to feature spots and stripes on your page. I didn’t have any striped paper in a color combination that would work well for this page, so I created my own with a plaid maker from Stampin’ Up. My daughter is also wearing a black and white polka dot shirt, which I thought went well with the theme.

Sketch Saturday – This was a challenge that required you to follow a certain sketch or layout for the scrapbook page you were creating. I think the sketch turned out well.

Andrea’s Stampin’ Moments Blog – This is where the lime green came into play and why I chose that color over other colors. The challenge required you to use black, white and lime green in your scrapbook layout or homemade greeting card.

I hope you all enjoyed

looking or viewing this scrapbook page as much as I enjoyed making it and displaying it. Now get to scrappin’ those scrapbooks and keepsakes.

Scrapbook Page Idea – Baby Girl Easter Egg Hunt

So I know, I know. Everyone has Christmas Scrapbook Pages on the brain, but I was really tired of looking at Christmas this

early in the season, so I decided to make a scrapbook page that involved some of my favorite photographs. This Easter scrapbook page featuring my baby girl is so beautiful and really fun. It doesn’t feature any special papers or scrapbook embellishments, but it still looks great. Here is the finished product.

The colors used in this picture were for a challenge: Colour Create – I was really excited when I saw this set of colors on a challenge for this time of year, so I had to take part – even though I wasn’t going to create a Christmas themed card. The colors required for this challenge were deep pink, turquoise and ivory.

I fulfilled the deep pink requirement with the 12x12 page I used. I highlighted the pictures with turquoise and the printed paper was an ivory base with all three colors mixed in with the printed flowers.

I tried to fill in space with buttons. I didn’t want to over do any of the embellishments because the printed paper was busy enough. I’ll be trying to enter a challenge 2 to 3 times a week because I really need to get on the ball with all of this beautiful card making and scrapbooking stuff we have.

Over time my scrapbook pages and creations are getting better and I’m really excited to see how much better I can get. Mom is still teaching me stuff everyday.

Thank for those who looked. Now get to scrappin’ those scrapbooks and keepsakes

Scrapbook Challenge: Anything Goes – Purple Baby Girl Scrapbook Page

I had so much fun with the challenge this week. The challenge is for the Come and Get It blog and since it is the 5th week of the month you can make whatever you want – anything goes. I had some beautiful baby girl photos that I’ve been wanting to scrapbook, so I thought….”Why not kill two birds with one stone.” Here is my challenge scrapbook page entry

Isn’t this such a beautiful page. Sometimes I think that less is really more. I see so many cluttered scrapbook pages and while some look nice, others are so cluttered you forget that you are really supposed to be looking at the picture, not the embellishments. The papers I used are K&Company. I draped purple and black ribbon across the bottom portion of the page and the purple on the tag at the bottom is a plum colored paint chip. So run to your local hardware store ladies, you can use those colored paint strips for scrapbooking.

Let me know what you think and get to scrapping those scrapbooks and keepsakes.
